....I'm leaning heavily towards Portland
(at least I am today), if for no other reason than to
get some perspective on what I'm doing here. I'm
trying not to get too worked up about it, since it
won't be until Feb/March, but it's hard not to
think/worry about it until then. The chances of
finding an affordable place in NYC are slim to none,
and I'm not sure I want to share again. I'm over it
already! The thing I can't imagine though, is what
I'll do in the evenings in Maine. Just go home every
night and chill out? Maybe I'll finally write that
great American chick-lit novel!

I think I remember getting this email from you! Not sure, but it sounds familiar. So glad your transition from the big city is going well. I had only been in NYC for 2 years when I moved to Portland, but it was quite a change...and ultimately a really, really good one. I have a feeling it will be for you, too!
